So much to report!!!
I realized that I have so much to report!
SCHOOLS OUT FOR SUMMER!
Kaylee and Austin are on summer break! Both came home with excellent report cards and wonderful comments from their teachers. Kaylee will be going to 4th grade and Austin will be going to 3rd! We also are trying to get the kids into a different school which gears more towards GATE students. Austin was tested and is GATE eligible and Kaylee took the test in 2nd grade but didn't have the teacher recommendation to enter into GATE although she passed the test. We're hoping to get both the kids in and maybe we'll have better luck with them paying attention in school. We think the program will challenge them more which is what they really need. So keep your fingers crossed and we'll keep you posted! Here are the kids enjoying their last day of school ice cream!!

RYAN'S ONE YEAR CHECK UP:
Lets start with Ryan's 1 year check up. He actually had to go back twice. The first time he went in he had a cough so they didn't want to give him his shots. So we had to take him back 2 weeks later. He got 3 shots! Poor guy. He weighed 21 lbs and is 29.5" tall! All in all he's doing well. The doctor did say he appears to be slightly anemic so we have to give him these vitamins that are terrible tasting! (yes i did taste it) So in all his appointment went well.

RYAN'S FIRST PLANE RIDE...LET'S MEET MORE FAMILY!!
About 2 weeks ago, Ryan had his first trip on an airplane! He did really good! Ray was able to keep him entertained for the hour flight down to visit my cousin and her family. She and her husband welcomed a little boy into the family in January and this was our first time meeting him. I couldn't wait to get Lukas and Ryan together. Lukas is 8 months younger but weighs just a little bit more than Ryan! We had a wonderful trip... we spent 4 days in SoCal. Ryan and Lukas were a little unsure of each other and Ryan got really jealous if Ray or I held Lukas. It was really funny! Most the time we just hung out. Saturday we went up to Lake Arrowhead. The kids rode the merry-go-round... it was the first time for Ryan. He was a little unsure of it at first but then he really liked it! Kaylee and Austin also rode the go karts. That was hilarious to watch! They were both big enough to drive themselves. I think for the most part they had fun but Kaylee did insist that her go kart was broken which is why she kept hitting the walls! Too funny! We spent a couple days in the mountains at my aunt and unlce's house. That was really nice and relaxing... and a lot cooler up there than in the valley! I have such a small family that its really fun when we get together especially because we don't see each other that often.I'll let the pictures show you the trip! A few things we learned on the trip... when traveling away from home and staying in a hotel, try to get one with a bedroom...otherwise everyone might as well go to sleep when baby sleeps. Traveling with children although fun, is exhausting! and finally... swimming in indoor pools leads to ear infections... which brings me to my next story...
KAYLEE'S EAR INFECTIONS!!!
So Sunday night, the day before we are to fly back home, Kaylee woke up crying and complaining about her ears hurting. It got so bad that at 11pm Ray decided to take her to the ER. They spent 6 hours between the ER and the pharmacy and Kaylee was diagnosed with inner ear infections in both ears...and wasn't allowed to fly for 2 weeks! WHAT?? Well since Kaylee couldn't fly, Ray had to rent a car for him and Kaylee to drive home in while me and the boys took our normal flights. Ray took all the luggage so I just had to worry about getting the boys on and off the plane. So that made it a little easier but I couldn't stop worrying about Ray driving. He only got a couple of hours of sleep. They made it home in about 6 hours and they said they kind of enjoyed the father/daughter time. SO at least something good came from that! Kaylee was fine after that night but be warned... don't go swimming in indoor pools!
LAST BUT NOT LEAST...RYAN IS WALKING!!!
Thats right...you read that right! It was the weirdest thing. He's been walking for awhile but only if he was holding onto one of his walkers. Then the Thursday before we took our trip, I went to pick him up and he WALKED across the room to me! I was so amazed! And ever since then, his walking is getting better and faster! It just amazes me that almost over night he began walking! and the joy on his face when he walks is priceless! He also walks with his arms extended all the way up in the air to help him balance but its so funny to watch! Everyday he continues to amaze us!Well enjoy the pictures and I'll try to be better at posting more often! Its not the greatest way to post him walking but its the best i can do for now!
